The Different Types And Uses Of The Intermediate Bulk Containers

IBC (Intermediate Bulk Containers) stainless steel containers are used to transport and store liquid, solid and/or semi solid substances.  These tanks have a heavy duty stainless steel top. The IBC stainless steel containers are reusable as they have been engineered for the mass handling and storage of materials.

Categories of IBC stainless steel containers
The two main categories of IBC stainless steel containers are flexible (FIBC) and rigid IBCs.  The rigid containers are reusable and can carry many different types of goods.  They are connected with a wooden pallet which makes lifting/shifting them convenient.

A standard flexible container can take a weight ranging from 500 kilograms to 1000 kilograms approximately. They are made of woven polyethylene or polypropylene bags.  Mainly, dry substances like sand, fertilizers can be stored and transported in these kinds of containers.

Storage Tanks:

The storage tanks are mainly used in the chemical cosmetic, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and food processing industries. There are various kinds of storage tanks available in materials like aluminium, Fiberglass, Glass Lined, High Alloy, Polyethylene etc.

The storage tanks can be reused many times either in the same process or in different processes or industries.  As these are made of sturdy material their demand is high even in the sale of used tanks.  A lot of industries put up their used tanks for sale. These are also sold in parts such as only the lid or the heavy-duty body of the tanks are sold.
